• Friends of Murphy will send you a Memorial Kit, which should arrive with seven to ten days of placing the order.
• The kit includes several items that make collecting and sending the cremains as easy as possible: a sealed glass container, an instruction sheet and return box and shipping label.
• Once Friends of Murphy receives your return kit, we begin handcrafting your specific orb.
• Friends of Murphy will complete the process and package each unique piece.
• Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of your order once Friends of Murphy receives your pet’s cremains.

The inspiration for Friends of Murphy began with a vision of an artistic piece that both honored our loving pet Murphy with its beauty and served as an everlasting reminder of his life. This evolved into the porcelain round forms or orbs. Their simplistic, round appearance is reminiscent of an egg, an object that suggests the beginning of life and its continuity.

We further explored this idea and wanted to capture Murphy’s imprint on our lives. By wedging the ashes into the wet clay on the potter’s wheel, we added  texture to remind us of the experience of touch. We also placed ashes inside the orb to convey the experience of sound and in a larger sense, the soul.

Friends of Murphy believe the orbs celebrate and memorialize the life of our dear pets and provide a resting place. We understand that each pet owner will feel differently about how to commemorate their pet and hope our pieces can help with that expression and tribute.
